I have used only a couple of DE razors, two adjustables, and this one..

This one gave me the better shave, I felt more in control of the angle, when I was using an adjustable it felt as through I was expecting the razor to do the work for me .. With this razor I felt more like I was using a Straight Razor and I needed to take control of the razor.. I hope that makes some sense..

I have a HS graduation party to attend for a son of some frineds on Sat,, he had expressed an interest in wetshaving and after talking with his mom I have put together a complete kit for him... Even though it was hard for me, :p I decided that it would be best for him to start with a DE instead of a straight razor being as he will be in a Dorm for the next two years at least...

I think I am going to give him the near new Gillette Adjustable I found a couple of weeks ago and keep this one for myself :)

many thanks for all the info

    Yep, very true.

If you ever obtain a Neillite bakelite razor, THEN you can be scared - and it doesn't even really have open teeth as such.
