To all you owners out there. I have a question. I cleared it with jayaruh first. Do any of y'all soak your brushes and leave the handle to soak as well. I soak my boar and badger knotted brushes and the handle sits submerged in warm water for 5 or so mins. If your like me and soak them had you had any problems with the finish or wood. Thanks!
I do not soak the handle. I just swish the bristles in the sink. I do not want to over expose the handle to water. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
It was good stuff. So first use of my new one. The 137 feels great. I started it out on Williams of course. Good lather. It is also my first use of a synthetic knot. I think it will take a few uses to get the hang of it. Anyone have suggestions on using one?
I usually let the brush float around the sink while I shower. I just got this one so can not help yet. After a few uses we will see what it does. I do not expect it will be a problem.
It is an Ace synthetic. I am looking forward to the shaves and using this one as a travel brush as well.
Finally got the chance to use #153, nothing like my old cheap boar brush. Way better, everyone should adopt one of these!
@Tiredricefarmer has joined the club. He has adopted JR#52. It will be going to Arkansas in the morning.

Synthetic knots don't so much absorb water , as trap it. While a Boar benefits by soaking a few minutes, all a synthetic needs is a dip. You may find the synthetic also holds more water than anticipated. So dip in water, or pass under running water, then give it a couple good shakes to shed the hidden water load. Easy to add more hydration, hard to pull it out when you lather is too wet.
I've joined the club! I really like how it feels - I can tell its from a baseball bat! JR #159 arrived today... now just waiting for the Cashmere knot!
The Cashmere knot has arrived. #159 looks good next to its new brother. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
