Happy Birthday! Amazing idea! I wish I'd seen it before today - my fault for not spending enough time here. I have JR159 made from a Louisville Slugger, and I love it!
Just finished the JR Birthday shave. With my SUPER COOL JR products. Brush: JR154 RAZOR: 1902 Star with the custom JR handle. BLADE: C.V. Heljestrand SOAP: Route 66 Barbershop Hop. Everything paired together wonderfully for a very nice shave. This Star razor with a wedge blade has to be the mildest razor I have. HAPPY BIRTHDAY @Jayaruh. You are a great friend and a very talented craftsman. May you have many more wonderful birthdays. Tom Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Happy Birthday Jim. It was a pleasure to pair up the JR 200 with the Filarmonica 12 and Stirling Gentleman for my shave on your day Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It’s not hard for me to choose my favorite brush because I keep it out all the time. I have 3 brushes made by Jim the 88, 99, and the 171. I enjoy them all but this is my favorite in my den. Paired with the custom handle for my lather catcher and I’m all set. Today’s shave was a fantastic shave and well I’m bbs smooth just like that.
Jim!!! Today I used JR 189. When I saw the humongous handle, I just HAD to have the brush!!! Thanks for adding another level of enjoyment to my shaves, Jim! Enjoy your day
Congrats Jim @Jayaruh on making another orbit! It's not the destination, but the journey! I hope you are enjoying the ride. :hooray: In your honor I used one of my favorite brushes - JR#130. It's special to me for the craftsmanship and artistry you applied to a piece of wood from my fathers orchard.
Beautiful Star there, Tom. I love seeing all the Jayaruh bruhses. Thank you, George. Beautiful picture. Thanks, Mike. Thanks, Jorge. You have two pre-lathe and one post-lathe brushes. Glad you like them. Thanks, Keith. Glad you got the brush.
Nice shave with the JR 191 loving this handle and the B&W Synthetic knot. Sent from my XT1710-02 using Tapatalk
15 OCtober Jim's Birthday Shave Brush: JR #180, 22mm Badger Soap: Lilac, Mystic Water (MW) Razor: Valet VC2, Autostrop Post-Shave: Cold Water rinse, OSMA Alum block and Lilac Vegetal, Clubman Photo: This mornings shave was a tribute to the Jim. The maker of fine shaving brushes. The JR #180 whipped up a very good lather with the MW. Happy Birthday Jim!!!
I did some honing this afternoon. Decided to do a test shave and it was a good excuse to get another one of your brushes in Jim. #44 did a wonderful job
Happy 70th Birthday @Jayaruh! I was on the road today, so I have tomorrow's 0600 shave queued up as follows: Gillette Super Speed Red Tip (A3) Feather (1) JR #160 Louisville Slugger handle with Omega 10098 boar knot Castle Forbes Lavender shave cream Thayers Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and Alt-Innsbruck Cologne/Aftershave Jim expertly handcrafted my brush from a "bat nib" obtained from the lathe at the Louisville Slugger Bat Factory, and he harvested a boar knot from an Omega Pro 98 brush handle. It's the only brush like it on the planet, and it lathers like a champ! Being from Louisville, it has a hometown feel for me. It is a treasured addition to my den! @Jayaruh
Happy Birthday Today's shave (and tomorrows) I love my ole #7, mostly because i love the passion of it's maker. I'm proud to use it and I'm always happy to know, it was the first to leave home.
