Lathering Techniques & Shave Soap Or Cream Alternatives

    That pic had me rolling haha. I started out bowl lathering but then as i got better and better i started face lathering. Its my preferred method because i can feel the slickness if i need to add more water

    Hand cleaner used to have some sort of solvent in it, and would be pretty nasty to use on one's face. All the hand cleaners I have seen over the last few years have replaced the mineral solvent with orange oil. Orange oil degreases just as well as acetone, and is non-toxic to humans. Some of the hand cleaners also include lanolin. I would not want to use hand cleaner for shaving every day, but once in a while probably would not hurt.

    Ok, thanks to @Bama Samurai and the Arko shave stick he sent me, I now have another way. Apply stick to wet face and build up the lather with a brush, really nice.
