Hey JB, in the right hands with some quality soap or cream, you can get a pretty good shave with a cartridge razor. I bet many of the forum members have one lying around they use for touch ups, travel or a quick one pass shave when they are in a hurry. Personally, I use a Gillette Sensor on occasion. Knowledge and improved technique do wonders for shave results.
I have a Sensor Excell, Mach 3 and Fusion that I got all for free, would never pay a penny for any of them.
Heathen. You probably dont like Aqua Velva either :shocked003 ********************************* Dont know fo sho, but...... Since Ive been dunking my razors in rubbing alcohol after each shave, it sure seems like the blades are lasting longer.
1. Also available is Razorbrite for those so inclined. 2. Will someone please explain to me how tht magnetic thingy works with "stainless" blades?
Unfortunately: I believe you could see it as a "magnetic stropper" that aligns the "microedge" of the razorblade (just as stropping does) using magnetism.
.. and not all stainless is resistant to magnetism (http://www.azom.com/details.asp?ArticleID=1140) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stainless_steel) Would indicate that the stainless steel used in razorblades does give it magnetic properties.
I think that IF Clark makes a blade last that long he deserves it (the discomfort, the pulling, etc.) My beard is like wire and blades don't last too long.... unless it's like a NOS Gillette, Astra superior plat., or Sputnick then I get five or so shaves.
Let it go, bruh. New year, new opportunity to let it be water under the bridge. Tell us how much you loathe AV. We understand, and promise to not hold it against you when the Revolution comes. ::
Speak for yourself, Duder. ******************************************************** We never forget ! I have a list of ALL non-HAVOC conforming infidels. Those who do NOT comply will be tracked down and BATHED IN VELVA ! Attack horse or not .............I'm already planning a journey to Texas in March to covert the dirty, unwashed heathens who blaspheme the almighty AV
Start arranging your schedule now. We ride in late March !! :transport024 [vbpg]343[/vbpg] [vbpg]234[/vbpg]
DUH... talk about opening the horse's mouth to count the teeth... I just walked into my bathroom and tried a magnet on about 15 different brands of stainless blades that happened to be there. All strongly attracted.
I remember a long time ago watching "that's incredible" or some other show like it, and some guy kept his razor in a small pyramid. The pyramid collected and focused cosmic energy that repaired his blade, and he had been using the same blade for 15 years. Now, that seems likely, knowing how sharp the pharoahs were kept for thousands of years.
