By a fluke I spotted this on a slightly misidentified auction and just got it for a good price ($26 shipped). It appears to be nearly de-plated from the neck up, since I don't think either nickel or gold can get THAT dark. No end caps and the smooth band is dated so it's either a '41 Ranger or Milord, but there appears to be brass or gold on the underside of the head while the handle looks nickel...but maybe with gold worn off. It'll take some TLC to get back into shape but should be fun. Ranger or Milord, it's still the same '41 but my guess is a really worn Ranger, what's your guess? Pics from the listing. I was too, but I'll find out when I get all it shiny. Even if it's not one of those two tone jobs, I still haven't found anybody who seems to know why Gillette released them. Very strange.
