I don't suppose it was your intention when you started this thread at the beginning of the year but I must admit there are now times I wax philosophical when I bring out the Hellman's.

Sandwich making used to be just that and nothing more (okay, maybe occasional visions of Dagwood; but nothing deep).

Here's a musing in the world of sports announcing:

"Look at the strength of the Capitals-you got your Ovechkins, your Backstroms, your Holtbys". Just a minute, do the Caps have at least 2 Ovechkins, Backstroms, and Holtby's? This style of sports commentary just sounds weird. Do they realize how silly they sound?????
