Is it silver plate like my 1909? Do not get too caught up with blades for it. Those will shave great with whatever you throw at it. (Assuming a sharp blade and no damage to razor) They will make to pay for bad technique though.
As far as the razor, all the teeth are straight, there was a Blue blade locked and loaded. It looks ready to rock!
You soooo funny GI! That's the real deal, barks over here and bites over there finest handgun in the world, Colt's .45 ACP 1911A1(modified from the look of it)
Lol funny you mention that. Ive found so much old avon in my hunting trips. But um... no. It's not Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
I like the Ruger Blackhawk and Redhawk, personally. .357 Magnum. Most of my personal firearms are semi-autos, but I just feel like revolvers are more _dependable_ (especially if you have to shoot them from inside something, like a bag. Much much harder to jam, and if you get a misfire, you can just pull the trigger again if you have to)
Many feel revolvers are best for home defense as double action is less prone to an AD/ND and if by some crazy chance you have a misfire you can simply squeeze again. Whatever you choose a protection from your home should be proven as reliable as possible. The 1911 that I refurbished has been 100% reliable when fed proper ammo. Only issue ive ever had was when working up my first load for it when I started reloading. I may not be my first choice if given the option but I would have no issues with using it should the necessity arise. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
I used a wheel gun for three quarters of my career( S&W Model 15 w/4in. barrel). I took it to Gunsite in '82 when I did the Basic Pistol course there.
It's still better than a shotgun. Just what I want to do for home defense. Have a club that someone can take away from me when I go around a corner. (A long gun, in a constricted area. Yes, this is a GOOD idea)
I wasn't criticising your choice. Merely saying anyone who choses defend themselves should be proficient and should choose what fits them best. Would I want a .22 if I had a choice of something else? No, Id pick something else. If all I have is a 22, well you can bet Id try to make the best of it. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
Best attitude. I've had people ask me "What's the best gun for self defense". My answer is always the same. "Whatever you'll actually carry."
