I have a '50s Aristocrat I plan to get replated. I know what nickel and rhodium look like and want to avoid silver. What little I've seen of chrome replating looks very interesting but the pics were not very close up...seemed pretty much as shiny as the other two but the color looked to be of a slightly darker tone. Has anyone had a chrome replate done? If so, if it's no trouble, would you please mind posting pics? Thanks in advance for any help and advice.
I had a revolver replated in chrome in the past. Unfortunately I don't think I have a pic anymore, but it held up well while I had it. The main difference between Nickel and chrome is that the Nickel has a warm yellowish hue to it. Chrome has more of a cool blue tint. Both work well, but are slightly different. If I can find some old pics, Ill post them for you.
