I Had My Maiden Shave this Morning with My Freshly Honed NOS Russian Dvuhzakovnaya 5/8th..This 1960s Model is Far Softer Steel than My Later 1970s Russian SR..It Took a Wicked Sharp Edge on the Hone But Very Smooth on the Face..I Like them Both but this 1962 Dvuhzakovnaya 5/8th is the One I Prefer..The Factory Grind is Excellent & it Was a Doddle to Hone..Its a Belter of a Shaver..These Commie SRs Shave Ever So Close & the Russian Steel has Characteristics of its Own..

I've seen what the Ruskies called beautiful girls, back when those razors were made. No wonder those guys liked the vodka so much. I still have a picture of some of those beauties frolicking on the beach, etched in my brain. Vodka, lots of vodka.

anyone here familiar with this 'Britva SPECIAL' ...?
I just aquired it as 'payment' for restoring & honing the two others on the pic for a german FB group member.
Would be nice to know WHO produced it and HOW OLD it may be...
I guess it might be from the 1950s to 70s but don't know the manufacturers sign...
