I finished the rebuild of the C. I took photos of every step, 21 to be exact. Makes for a pretty big post so I'll do the highlights now and figure out how to show the whole process later. First remove the screw that holds the razor head. Use a decent screw driver so you don't bugger the screw. Next take the little screws out that hold the shell on. These also require a decent screwdriver now you can pull the assembly out. Take note of where everything is at as you pull it out. oK so I've got the thing in pieces and am ready to put the replacement parts in. The spring is a trick and once it is in place the screw goes back to hold it and the just do the whole thing in reverse. Easy peasy. Any questions?
That was $10 well spent. Great job and great info. Now all i have to do is find a C. Next year. I keep asking my wife and she keeps saying no. She is no fun
Well then i will give that a shot. I will let you all know how this turns out. Right after i get out of the hospital
Can you post some pictures of it again. Also with some closeups of the back end to the inside? Maybe we can figure something out. Tom
The problem is that I can't open it. This is the only pic I have right now. I'll try and take more later.
Thank you! I have tried lots of tugging and have soaked it in WD-40 with no luck. I think the cartridge is jammed in it.
Those are beauties. You have C1 (full open comb). The other is a C3 if you can would you post what numbers are stamped on your doors. Welcome to the club. Tom
Thanks. We will add you to the database. How do you like the shaves? Do you prefer one over the other? Tom
I prefer the C3, the open comb on the C1 is not as comfortable as other open combs I have used. It might be because they are narrower than other combs I have. The angling head does help getting into some of my harder to reach areas.
