Sorry for bringing this one back from the dead, but I have a question about the gaps, I have a feeler gauge and I seem to have most(22-35 (1/1000) of an in) in the set. I got the slim this week and one of the safety bars was somewhat bent in the corner and required a little bit of bending back to make the mechanism work smoothly. After doing this the gap seems more or less even from one side to the other, but the gaps are slightly smaller than the ones from your other post. For instance the 32 doesn't slip easily between the blade and the bar when set on 5, but it does when set on 6. I'm assuming when measuring these gaps, the gauge should slide easily between the blade and the safety bar.

Remember that the measurements are averages with some variation for tolerance for all Gillette Adjustables. The silos should be able to fully close with the gauge in at each setting and just barely able to be removed when gently pulled out of the gap.

    I hope this helps.
