Never used Captain's Choice, so I can't help you there. It feels and smells better than the five other Bay Rums that I've tried, even if the scent is much milder.
That's crazy irresponsible and highly illegal! So many of the artisans are shipping alcohol based aftershaves illegally. The Feds are cracking down on this kind of stuff and now it falls under the domestic terrorism policy.
Looks like they've changed up the look of the bottle slightly. I'm glad they seem to be able to keep it in stock more or less permanently these days. My fiancée makes a dry comment anytime I wear anything other than Shave Tonic. I'm down to about a third of a bottle left from my first bottle. Still have another unopened one, and am thinking about adding a couple more to the stash. This is one aftershave I do not want to be without.
About a year. Depends on how much you use, too. There is a shaker insert in these that limits how much you can dump out, which will extend the life of your bottle considerably.
By the way, how long did it take to arrive. I ordered Tuesday morning and I still have not heard anything even though they accepted the payment.
