Another drizzly morning here, 31ºF/0ºC at 06:00 and 52ºF/11ºC this afternoon. Patches of sun on & off all day, so fair enough. A very nice shave indeed this morning, back with the Mitchell's and another old Sheffield that I'm taking a shine too. And the Semogue lowered just the 8mm makes all the difference - fantastic brush now. Have a good 'un folks.

Hot shower with Stirling bay rum soap.

    Razor.... Gillette ball end tech
    blade..... astra sp (2)
    Brush.... purple b&b essential boar
    soap.... tiki surfs up

My first shave ever with a tiki shave soap. All I can say is wow! The scent is very light but it produces a great slick lather. It gave me a very close shave and the lanolin in it has made my face extremely soft. I'm very impressed.

    Menthol Monday morning:

Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Invigorating cleanser, TSD Jasmine Sambac Preshave balm
    Brush: Simpsons 56 Best Badger
    Soap: Stirling Glacial Obsidian
    Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC
    Blade: Baili Platinum Stainless (1)
    Passes: WTG, XTG (1, 2)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma Alum, Dickinson's WH, Aqua Velva AS splash
    Cologne: Xeryus by Givenchy

One of the last days this year likely to be warm enough to make me not think twice about using the Glacial, but I couldn't get a very good lather this AM. Compounding this, or perhaps as a result, the new Baili blade was not particularly comfortable, and I had to stop at two passes and DFS results, with a single weeper by the corner of my mouth.

Iced Subzero is the real deal. Feels great!

Ouch! I hate the ones they have to cut off of your face. Get well soon, and get some SPF 50 sunscreen.

Just received the Weber and Rustic today. Wow, what a great shave. The best shave I've had since I started shaving again.

In my excitement over the new soap experience, I forgot something...

Thanks to @ram57 ! He sent the Yeti Snot PIF on a whim after seeing a post I made to the secret Santa thread. He's cool like that! He's an example of how we all can have a blast doing this stuff!

So did it water your eyes a bit with either the Yeti or Glacial Obsidian?

I just blind lathered it and went for the gold!

Not sure I got a perfect lather...first try, but great shave! I totally dig the strength of the menthol/eucalyptus and my skin feels awesome. However, was hard to shave neck. My eyes were involuntarily filling with tears of joy!

    Evening Shave for Tomorrow
A first-time shave for me using this newly-restored & honed custom George Wostenholm pipe razor. This is the second consecutive shave for me using such a large-bladed razor. This one doesn't feel quite as bulky as the heavy wedge I used yesterday (which felt much like a mini-meat cleaver in the hand :D), but I respected the size and sharp point. It turned out to be a very easy razor to use, audible and quite smooth on the face! :) What a great razor!
    Have a great Tuesday, everyone!
