The best straight shave yet! I'm definitely in DFS territory now and it's getting smoother and easier to handle. Looks like all that persistence is paying off..:)

    Shower and Shave

A great shower to start the day off. While showering the brush for the day was warming.
After a great shower I prepped my face for the lather with Proraso glycerin.
Vulfix 28 boar easily whipped Nanny's Citrus Zinger into a mound of great lather.
Gillette Fat Boy and Super Max were the combo for today's shave.
Took a leisurely shave used three passes this morning to achieve a superior DFS.
Post shave ritual is a cold water splash, toning with RazoRock alum, a generous :Animatedfrozensmily: numbing with Osage Rub.

    Razor: GEM Micromatic OC
    Blade: GEM Stainless
    Brush: Whippeddog Silvertip
    Lather: TOBS Avacado
    Post: Nivea Arctic Freeze

2 pass DFS. I didn't do my normal touch up pass because I felt like my neck my be getting irritated but still ended up with a smooth shave minus the few spots on my neck I usually buff. This is the first OC razor I've used and I found that it's aggressive without being harsh which is nice. I keep catching wiffs of the avocado. I love TOBS but I think I like the smell of this stuff a little less every time I use it.

The heat here in Montreal is a little less intense today, but I'm still in need of a good menthol dose. (Like every day!) This Lemon Ice soap lathers so well with the help of my Turkish horsehair brush, and the scent is so nice and refreshing, with a terrific menthol sensation. The Booster Iced Lime aftershave is a top favorite of mine, and the 444 is...........heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, awesome! ;) :D

Razor: 68 Slim Gillette Adjustable (N4) (set on 9)
Blade: Blind Blade Test Blade 2 (1st use)
    Brush: Semogue 830
    Cream: TOBS Jermyn St Sample
A/S: Alum & Cold Water Rinse

Day 1 of the second blade in the Blind Blade Test and I got a BBS shave today with no nicks and very little razor burn. I like the TOBS cream, great smell, cushion, lather, and my face felt great after the shave. There was some light tugging from the blade, but not too much. Overall, it was a very enjoyable shave.

Nice and frosty 2 pass face,1 pass head shave. This is my second day with the H.I.S. brush,I'm still trying to get the water ratio right for creams and soaps. One thing for sure, this brush is very soft and has nice backbone,a keeper for sure and a steal at 25 clams.I think tomorrow I'll try a shave stick and do a face lather.
