    Wednesday Morning

Standard Prep (Eucerin cream, warm shower)
    Omega 10083 Pro boar
    MWF
    Merkur 23c w/ Astra SP
Standard Post (Cetaphil Gentle cleanser, Nivea Sensitive)
    Master BR AS

DFS by means of wtg, xtg, no touch-ups. After yesterdays irritation ... I'm ... content :).

Final test on MWF ... final test = face lather. Was initially concerned about the strength of the scent ... not anymore. No problems experienced whatsoever with this soap. YMMV ... but no more than any other soap IMHO.

(Wonder how many unique acronyms can fit in a SOTD post :signs002: -- 11 is purely amateur at best! Give it your best shot!)
UAT (Unique Acronym Tally) = 11

[edit:added "SOTD" to specify which subset of posts I was referring to ... not! to intentionally add another acronym ... helped though)

I've had a soft spot on my head for the Durham handle for a long time now. The orginal Durham had a really big head. Other heads I've tried (I got a lot of different heads available) either didn't match (to small) or looked stupid (EJ). When I saw the Fatip I noticed it was a larger than common head so thanks to BullGoose, my Fatip/Durham hybred exists. Looks about right, is very well balanced (Durham handle is a heavy chunk of brass) and shaves well. I'm happy.:D

Thanks! I have over 100. I lost count around 105. I have 47 shave ready straights in my rotation (or whenever I feel like using a particular one) The remainder are DE's, SE's and Injectors that I switch off to from time to time for a change of pace. I have recently taken the 12 step program however and now..... I am cured of RAD but, it's still "one day at a time" LOL ;)

    07/11/12, Wednesday. Bright sunny hot.

Hot shower starts my day off, while showering today's brush was warming

Brush choice for today Omega 48. I have been using my Semogues which have smaller knots then the Omega 48. Today the 48 seemed awkward and over sized.
The Semogues are spoiling me with their outstanding brush quality.

Today's razor a Gillette Gold Tech, its partner a Zorric blade. I find it interesting seems the second use of a blade is an improvement form the first day.

I chose Mama Bear's Hydrogen soap, the lather was rich and thick.

The last couple of weeks my shaves have been improving for several reasons. I find with the right blade and razor combos two passes to be sufficient. I have made a slight adjustment to my angle. Lastly my lather quality has been superior.

Today's shave was an excellent three passe shave, that delivered a fantastic DFS. Afterwards a refreshing cold water splash, facial rub down with RazoRock and a generous splash of Colonia.

WOW....that is a lot of razors. 47 "shave ready straights" is a lot of straight to have you your rotation, not to mention the the amount of money invested.

So Bruce, what cured your RAD?

(Top Pic) Burts Bee's all natural soap for men. The soap on the left pictured is locally made peppermint soap. For those of you that don't know, I try and stick with 100% natural products when it comes to putting things on my skin or in my body. And yes beer is natural :) (Bottom Pic) My shave line up consists of a Parker 22r DE razor, Shark Super Chrome Blades, Omega Shave Cream, Appalachian Heritage Cedarwood/Eucalyptus Shaving Soap, El Crapo Brush. (Sounds fancier that way lol) and mug. The soap in the dish is locally made also and 100% natural. soapsnip.JPG 50snip.jpg

    So as for the 10th

Burt's Bee's Soap (For face, body, and hair)
    A.H. Cedarwood Soap

That handle/head combo looks great! Did you have to modify the handle? I have always skipped on the Durham Duplex since you can't find blades to fit them, but after seeing this I may have to buy one.

    Wednesday Shave:
    Gillette Canadian Windsor Razor
    Voskhod Blade
    Franks Best Badger Brush
    C. O. Bigelow Shave Cream
    Thayer's Lemon Witch Hazel

Today was the first time I have used the Windsor so I was a little cautious. Made two passes only so my shave was short of DFS - maybe FS. Way too early to make any firm judgements, but I did think the razor seemed less aggressive than an Old Type.
