So I sold off my single rings and old types because they simply didn't shave well for me. No matter what angle or what blade i used, I always had a bad shave. The bad shave experience just ended today. I recently purchase a razor lot that included this really nice goodwill. After reading a thread yesterday that suggested shimming a razor, I decided to try that this morning. I loaded this razor with a voshkod and I made a shim. DAAAAAMN what a fantastic shave. I had zero issues compared to the irritation , weepers, and razor burn I would get in the past. Try this method it works !

Thank you. It was a rough week and I am still a bit worn out. The good thing is that I keep feeling a bit better every day. I took a short hike yesterday with the family to get outside and enjoy the sun. I was surprised how tired I was by the end, but I needed the activity.

Thanks. I am doing better. Yeah, I received a purple and a green rod. I have the purple in the razor now. The green is brighter, but both have really low light levels. The online ads make them look so much brighter. You really can't see the color unless the light is off and you are in complete darkness. They do look cool though.

Today's shave was fantastic. Iced y/y very remarkable. TWO pass shave with three super sharp clauss. Finish with ancaster lavender.

One of my ugliest razors lends credence to the adage that looks are not everything. This NEW has been abused. There is no plating left on the head and all 4 corner teeth are bent and it just looks terrible. But load a blade in it and start shaving and you can not tell the difference between him and one that is NOS or has been sent out for a replate and corrective surgery. Scruffy, as I call him does the same job as the rest of my NEW razors, leaving me BBS and AGAIG. The Sputnik blade worked fine and I finished with cold water, Lavender Witch Hazel and Clubman. Cold water shave... I haven't shaved in a few days and haven't used the Old Type much in the last couple of years. My technique was definitely sloppy for this razor. The end result was a nice close 2 pass shave, but I gave myself a few weepers. Both the Alum and AS let me know that I needed to tighten up my game.

I love my Russians. This is only the second time using my birth year ZTV Extra. Light pressure, low angle, and the whiskers just gave up. Excellent shave.

Had a nice shave this afternoon. Love the pine type scent and excellent lather quality of Uncle Jon's tallow formula, it paired perfectly with Taiga. The Croma blade has been working smoothly even thou it has some miles on it. No nicks or cuts, just a clean shave. Hope everyone enjoyed their shave!

 

Tonight's shave was with a newly acquired, restored(Mehhhh), and honed Folding Kamisori razor. I had a silent and stiff 2 pass shave, that left me near BBS. I only had one tiny weeper under the lip. I think it might be too sharp. These Kamisori razors are very different to hone and shave with, but fun.
