    This is my first shave with this razor since I made new scales for it. I busted one of the scales pinning, but I was able to repair it. I am happy to have successfully made a pair of scales for this razor.

    The Col Conk Bay Rum Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Heldtite Synthetic brush. I did one passe the Wade & Butcher Spanish Tip 5/8 and the second with the New Improved w/Rockwell Swedish Stainless. I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Tonight's shave was with a freshly acquired, restored, and honed razor. I had a very smooth and noisy 2 pass shave, that left me SMOOOOOTH. No issues at all, just a very solid performing razor.

    Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy
    Aftershave- Florida Water.

    Hi folks, here's my OC SOTD for today-

    1918 Gillette US Army Old Type.
    Polsilver Super Iridium blade.
    Simpsons Duke 2 brush.
    RazoRock XXX shave soap.
    Nivea post shave balm.
    Pinaud Clubman SR splash.
    360 Red cologne.

    This was a rapid 8 minute 2 pass Shave. I wound up with 2 bleeders and 2 weepers. But nothing compared to the blood shed by many men and women before and after my fifteen minutes of fame. I chose this razor in reverence of the Memorial Day weekend, and out of respect for my fellows, men and women alike who gave up everything to keep us all safe an sound here in the USA. To you folks I am eternally grateful for your sacrifice. God Bless You all. And God Bless America. Have a safe holiday people!
