Great to hear you're getting good results. If you can shave with an Old Type I think almost any DE razor will "bend to your will". When I figured the angle out (with much input by TSD members) it was an epiphany. I swear I heard a choir sing "Ahhhhh" and a light appeared above me. Ha!
Angle is everything. All razors are just a means to move a beveled edge over your skin at a shallow angle. Master that one concept, and you can shave with just about anything you want to try. Very good work!
I had a great shave with my 'Slim' today, which I had just about given up on. I concentrated on getting the correct angle; a slightly different angle to my 'Old Type'. It was very satisfying. I think I'm getting the hang of this now. It's a lot different from a modern cartridge razor, which never required me to think about technique. I love these old razors.
