... is a workhorse! I suppose this would be considered a non-aggressive razor. To me, that just means very little chance of nicking oneself, yet not needing any more work to get a BBS compared to other razors. The "lack of heft" compared to some others has not had any adverse effect on the quality of my shaves AT ALL! I have a pretty thick beard... someone must have forgot to tell this razor that it "shouldn't" be up to the job. I've tried a number of different razors, so I have some basis for comparison.

I am impressed with this "red headed step-child" of the DE world. Beginner or veteran... the black handled SS is a keeper!

    So it is said!

    regards,

I would classify it as being more forgiving than non-aggressive. A trait common to all the Super Speeds and the Techs in varying degree.

Now tomatoes are definitely non-aggressive. :D

Except for the killer tomatoes

I've got a black handled SS and I like it quite a bit. I haven't used it much since I got my Futur or my HD, but I do like it and I have gotten very good shaves from it. I actually prefer it to my '54 SS.
