Ah, yes, snow...the stuff of legend in the Great White North. You don't really know the meaning of fear until you drive on a highway in true white-out conditions. Total loss of visibility and you don't know what is in front of you or behind you. This situation usually results in a variety of prayers said in rapid succession.
I had to go to Saratoga Springs this morning from central New Jersey (The Great Garden State!) for a birthday party and then back home. 480 miles round trip in the snow. The roads were messy going up, but downright treacherous coming back. Good news is we made it there and back safely enough and didn’t see one accident along the way. Bad news is I did almost spin out turning down my street less than 1,000 feet from my house. I think I was tired. Oh boy!
