Yeah there comes a time in every man's life I guess. It's near perfect.

Never have shaved with one ... is it aggressive, mild or middle of the road?

I have yet to shave with it. Medium aggressive is usually how it's described.

It’s a medium aggressive but to me it wasn’t smooth I tried several different blades in it and I found it to be a rough feeling shave. But man I love the weight and feel in the hands. To me the weight was just right. I ended up selling mine as I only keep what I like to shave with.

Can't tell from the pic, is it a floating head?

My personal preference is a nice English Flare; I think of them as middle of the road, but others think of them as mild. @jmudrick let us know how you like it. :)

Floating Head. My non-floating head doesn't much float my boat, I expect this to be a different experience.

Quick shave this evening with the Floater and I can see where some folks wouldn't like it. It does have a lot of blade feel.

    More than a Red Tip?

Yes. It looks to me like a decent amount of both positive exposure and blade gap. My recollection of the Red Tip when I had it was that it was much easier to manage. Think more of a New Improved but with more gap. Also note the lack of support at the blade edge on the bottom. That's quite a bit of hang. This configuration can be rough going depending on your shaving approach. It's a first impression but that hang may contribute to it feeling a bit rougher to me then the Fatip Mk1 even though I think the Fatip has greater exposure.

That brush is awesome. Those 2 woods together look very cool! A rustic feel to it.
