I have a similar set that dates to 1918. Not in as good a shape as yours though. Nice find.

I really enjoyed the pics!

 

Wandered into an Antique Shop after dropping the wife off at a Dr appointment and hit the jackpot, for me at least. I had been hunting for a FatBoy for a while and scored this FB with a nice Mohawk Badger brush which appeared to be liked new and a patriotic mug for a wopping total of 8 bucks... they had another kit with a 40s SS and brush/mug combo I may go back for as well as a very mint 40s SS but I wanted the FB!

Before shot with the mug then after hitting it with a toothbrush really quick. Will probably use a little polish on it to clean it up a tad more.

Not a collector quality but I just wanted one to try. Now I need to learn a little more as I know there are some subtleties in FB models.

Nice haul!

 

From what I can see of the picture, it's in great shape. Most of the discolouration appears to be soap. Boiling water and Dawn dish soap, and you'll be good. Maybe soak the bristles of the brush in some Lysol (10-20 minutes), then wash with Dawn soap as well.

Arrived today. Gillette Flair Tip (D3) and Proraso soap for my GF's son. And case for my best Superspeed razor. Now I'll have to make a copy of the instruction sheet and get a correct blade dispenser for it.......

 

Looks great. Glad you found one! I'm on the hunt for an aristocrat. I'd like to find one at an estate sale or antique store
