The Haul: June 2017

Yep, I most definitely sent a G8....You liked the E2, I'm sure you'll dig the G8...it is ultra efficient! And that handle is a joy to hold...it inspires high speed cornering with reckless abandon...Although she's very aggressive....but smooth also....

Yeah, thats a beautiful G1 being piffed over there now....But the one I sent was a G8...Short squarish art deco handle...She's in very good condition...you should give her a chance...If you dig her, keep her! All she wants is to be loved....lol

140ish? Thats like a 5 month rotation if you change every day...what are you going to use the other 7 months to keep from getting bored..?.

 

Lol. I never get bored...plus I could always buy more.

Wild find

 

Went out of state to a military retirement and we spent the weekend. We decided to do some pickin and in one location I found these three pieces.

I haven't seen and Engels razor with a boy and girl motif before so I wonder if this is a rescale


The Pearl I know nothing about other than I liked the looks of it

The Valet came in a damaged cardboard box but the leather strop (not pictured) is in good shape and for $8 it was a bargain I wasn't going to pass up

Today was insane, I have to be in Oz. I picked up essentially a mint Gem Micromatic and a full box of Gem reversable blades for the reasonable price of $20 from a farm estate sale. No,I am not breaking up the box of blades. They will soon live happily together on display.

Well, I thought I was going to post something interesting until I saw Jim's latest score.

Anyways, here's my (now) less than exciting haul.

Two small (9/10 oz) NOS tubes of Burma Shave complete with instructions in "the art of shaving" for $9
and an EverReady brush in very good condition for $8



A mostly full tin of Mennen Shave Talc (For Men) for $4
and two Skin Bracer decanters (the razor and the big slap) for $11 each.
The decanters came empty so I'll need to buy some Skin Bracer and fill them up.

Mail call came today from US and when I open the package and the lid BANG! a very strong soft sharp sweet floral rose scent filled my whole bedroom for a few minutes and through the hall way towards the kitchen, suddenly my mother come rushing towards my bedroom and said what is that FANTASTIC smell and I told her it was my new shaving soap......................................and she said to me are you becoming a drag queen and I said God crikey NO!!! before she start smiling at me
