It's not so much a purchase as a very convoluted sacrificial ritual involving old goats and saffron colored garments. Head shaving optional. Or the short answer: the Eye-gore is a "one off" machined by Tom. But, there are rumors of a coming pass around.
Yes. I will be getting the pass around started later this week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
I thought it was an old penguin sacrifice and tight fitting black and white outfits and for many of us head shaving is redundant.
I think Tom must thrive on the psychic energy generated by conceiving, machining, and keeping his lovelies in short supply. To do what takes a team of Research & Development Engineers in his spare time is miraculous. Making the leap to a Production Model is another kettle of Penguin food.
It is time to start taking names for Igor Pass-around. It will be organized across the street at TSOT Igor Please head on over and register there. at this time it will be U.S. only Edit: you must register as a TSOT member to post over there. Tom
Yes there is. It is happening over at TOST Forum. Check it out. http://theoriginalsafety2.com/thread/2500/igor-eye-gor-pass Tom Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
This morning was my first step outside of the Dark Side in a long time. It took a fascinating razor like Eye-Gore to pull me out of the shadows. I’ll start with my first impression. Like everything that Tom makes, this razor is well designed and executed. The blade fits around the locating tabs snugly and there is absolutely no slop. I loaded a new Gem Stainless blade, closed the lid and set the aggressiveness to the mild side. Once the handle was tightened, nothing moved and the blade was in perfect alignment with the safety bar. I lathered up some MWF with the equally well-made B-400 Brush by Tom and went to it. I started with a WTG pass using light pressure. I tipped the razor up until the hump touched my face and then backed off just a touch. The razor made the buttering toast sound that only an SE makes. The first pass did an excellent job. In fact, I was pretty close to DFS at that time. I followed with an ATG pass and could have stopped there but decided to do an XTG pass. Somehow, I opened up a little cut on my right cheek that bled pretty good. It’s been a while since I wore a toilet paper patch. Except for the little cut, that I am sure was operator error, this was an excellent shave and I am BBS. I look forward to dialing up the aggression for the next couple of shaves. This razor is a winner!
