Since my GF broke the top plate of my beloved Razzorock Jaws, the Razzorock handle has been the go to handle for my Fatip Grande, leaving the Fatip's handle jobless. An idea came out of nowhere...I had another razor sitting around, gathering dust, the Gillette Knack. So one thing led to another. I present to you Monkeylord's Knatip I've cut off the top of the handle where the top plate screws in, and widened the opening on the bottom of the handle so the Knack head would fit in. I filled the handle and secured the head in with dental auto polymerizing acrylics. Between the head and the handle I've put a thin layer of wax paper to stop the acrylics from jamming the TTO mechanism. But when I pushed the head in the handle the paper bulged in size, I guess it absorbed some of the polymer, that explains the gap between the head and the handle. I cleaned the excess acrylics and cooked it under 2 bars of preassure for a few minutes just to speed things up a bit. Removed the paper and gave it a quick polish. Since both the Knack head and the Fatip handle are nickel plated they look great together (to me at least ) The TTO mechanism works fine , and the razor now weighs in at 70 grams. I haven't tried it out yet , but as soon as I do you'll get a review
Thank you guys. And just to add it shaves good. A midlle of the road razor, not too mild but not aggressive either. A bit top heavy
