It's a good thing I used the Glacial Obsidian soap and balm this morning because it's already 85 degrees outside. The freeze felt delightful. Another blistering-hot day tomorrow means the Glacial Black Cherry or MITA - gotta keep cool somehow! lollll
Received a special haul today. Dirty South Shavers is a Facebook group and they held a meet-up earlier this month in Memphis. I wasn't able to attend but Rod made these special sets for the event. He opened them up to the group as a whole after the meet-up. One scent is a vanilla pipe smoke iteration and the second one is based on Abercrombie Fierce cologne. Both are outstanding! I also got a bar of the mentholated pre-shave soap. I'm using the vanilla pipe smoke soap tomorrow.
For those that use Stirling pre-shave soap: How do you use it? I know that sounds silly, but do you work up a lather in your hands like a bar soap and then wash your face? Do you work up some lather on a brush and apply it? What has worked best for you??
The vanilla pipe smoke was great this morning! Really enjoyed the scent. Tomorrow I will try out the Fierce.
Perry, I just work up a lather in my hands and rub it into my face, then I leave it on for a couple of minutes while I brush my teeth. Then I rinse it off.
That Glacial MITA soap froze me to smithereens this morning. Afterwards the Glacial Unscented balm felt so delightful!
Oh, I wouldn't be surprised. I'm that way with "Wild West" fragrances. Nothing "Wild" here exept the way people drive, lol.
The splash reminds me of the Barbershop splash due to the vanilla element that adds a sweetness. The pipe smoke element is a little muted to me so far. But, I'll confess my scent vocabulary and understanding is pretty low! It's a nice scent regardless!
