@ezlovan I just had a thought pop into my head this morning as I was sorting through my latest batch of samples. Everyone's scent preferences are different, sometimes wildly. There's no way that both you and Mandy love, or probably even like, all of the scents that you guys produce. For some reason I had an image pop into my head of you guys making batches of aftershave with clothes pins on your noses. Are there a few scents that either of you dread making? There are a handful of samples that have actually made my wife gag after smelling them (Texas on Fire for one). Which scents do you (or Mandy) really dislike? Maybe even more interesting, are there any top sellers that either of you really don't like yourselves?
I gotta use up some stuff. I piffed out everything that I don't really like, and now I am gonna focus on the ones I do.
I am one who enjoys Gatlinburg, although admittedly it isn't my favorite. It has a strong cedar smell, and it does remind me of being in the Blue Ridge Mountains right after a rain storm. My wife likes it well enough, although it isn't her favorite either. It is one of those scents I can't wear every day, but there are some mornings that seem to call for it.
G'day guys, from Australia, saw this thread while looking for recommendations on scents, helped me out a'lot. These are the samples I've got on the way Barbershop - Shave Black Cherry - Shave Electric Sheep - Shave Executive Man - Shave Margaritas in the Arctic - Shave Mountain Man - Shave Orange Chill - Shave Ozark Mountain - Shave Sharp Dressed Man - Shave Stirling Blu - Shave Stirling Gentleman - Shave Stirling Noir - Shave Strawberry Bubbly - Shave Unscented Post-Shave Balm I'll base my aftershave selection from these scents rather then buying additional samples.
Need some input.... I might pick up some ozark mountain but I already have conifours and really like it. I also had scots sheep. How does ozark mountain compare. Are they similar I like the coniferous better so I traded off scotts sheep. But I thought they were very similar.
I'm sure they're all great. I'll just comment that I have 3 samples at the moment, and my favorite isn't on your list(Sandpiper), but my second favorite IS(Stirling Gentleman). I had Barbershop but I couldn't really enjoy it the way I wanted to, as I purchased it in the wrong season(for me, anyway)..summer.
These will be my choices for my next Stirling soap purchase: Sharp Dressed Man Bay Rum Ozark Mountain Frozen Tundra (I love it so much!) MITA (can't be without it!)
In all honesty, I don't make a single scent I don't like. If I don't like a scent, it doesn't get produced. Plain and simple. The better question would be is are there any scents I am sick of or nose blind to. Yes. I have made so many batches of some of these scents that inevitably I am tired of some of them. I am also nearly nose blind to some now, including Sharp Dressed Man. I have to have multiple people check that one for me to make sure it is right now.
