Well guys, after close to 10 years my Permafrost stick is finally no more. I had a great final shave with it!
Ok, here's my choice for tomorrow. My Florida Water stick - this one has been in the house for 10 years. Imagine that!
Wow, you got plenty of use from that shaving stick! Giovanni made huge contributions to the traditional wetshaving revival, and introduced the teeming masses to so many different products. Truly a pioneer! It is good to hear you are enjoying his soap so much.
well, on the subject of jealousy over someone still having products that now are gone, I'd better not talk about my Rise Super Foam and Rise A.S. Cooling Balm(like I just did, chuk-yuk).
My cousin in Brooklyn uses the Rise Cooling balm and he gave me one. It was pretty good but honestly, I felt no cooling effect!
Hey, glad you tried it! I must say, I'm not sure about the "cooling" aspect myself. I use it more in the fall/winter season(s).
Oh, I found these other Tryphon treasures: A Permafrost Blue stick A Permafrost Blue shaving soap bowl A Mentolo shaving soap bowl Permafrost Blue has sort of an anise scent. Not as strong as Stirling Black Ice or Glacial Obsidian but it's still very nice. The menthol effect is at around the TSD Subzero level. The Mentolo has a fresh, minty scent with a menthol effect somewhat stronger than Proraso Green.
