Yes it takes regular SE blades. This particular razor you slide it in from the side. Well I believe, guessing, that the second part of the handle is the strop handle where you would fit a wedge blade when stropping it. Also, I'm wondering...shouldn't there be a tab here (in the white circle)?
I am guessing you slide the blade in on the side with no tab, and the tab on the other side stops it from sliding too far across, maybe.
The good news in I won the razor The bad news is that i did some more research and found this. Guess this will a very aggressive razor I also have a ASR reverse lather catcher like the one Porter posted..although it will take a modern blade, I do not recommend it as the blades do not fit like the original SE blades. You could take the spine off of the modern SE blade to see if that gives enough clearance on the ASR to be used safely.
Scary fun! Perfect razor for Halloween! I like my lather catcher quite a bit and it shaves rather well.
