Well Guys, this was new to me but I just saw on Amazon Van der hagen safety razor. ok, who knows what? Who makes it? quality? got one? Performance?
Ya never heard of ice but I do know that nitrogen is used to harden engine blocks in extreme builds. So why not ice for razor blades
I've never heard of a VDH razor. As for the "ice tempered" blades, I think they're imported from Iceland.
With a little Google-fu, I'm leaning more towards Geisen & Forsthoff rebranded razor and blades. Blades are Timors.
I'll give this a plus one. The Amazon listing says the blades are made in Germany (as Timors are). Derbys are Turkish.
I, for one, will pass on the outstanding outlandish price of $27.98 for a 5-pack of their blades! Although, to their credit, they do say it qualifies for free shipping. Makes you wonder who's doing the pricing when the razor that includes a 5-pack of blades is only $23.
I think they mean five 5 packs. The per unit price is 1.12 which seems about right. I have to say first, that is still too expensive, and second, they really need to re-write that as it basically says a five pack for $28, which is nuts.
Wow. Maybe we'll see those in stores. If I do I'll buy one just because I can't really remember a safety razor hanging on a peg in a store. It could be the shavepocalypse... in reverse
Razor looks like a Weishi to me also....Never heard of ICE razor blades, wonder where they are from(Korea?)...You can buy a Weishi razor in a case with mirror and a 5 pk of Dorco blades for $14.99+$3.99 shipping from amazon....
Weishi? so what's the verdict then if it is? while not a murkur, is the weishi/ VDH razor worth looking in to for the amazon price?
