Just had an offer accepted for a 24mm Franks Shaving White Tip Badger. I think it a lot like a fan shape knot. Now comes the LOOOONG wait for the slooooow boat from China.
After repeatedly telling myself I was done I have these inbound. I've always wanted to try something from The Holy Black and the Armada Blossom sounds like a good compliment to my MDC Agrumes
It's August 15 and I'm still waiting for my Rex Ambassador razor from Razor Emporium.... Still waiting.. and waiting..
Maybe that's why this one was purchased? Schadenfreude? Personally, I have no issues with repainting red tips. I don't think it affects their 'value' at all; the original ones were just painted over chrome/nickel anyway, and longevity wasn't the goal.
I don't ... I clean them up and sell them. I never give the illusion that its collector's grade, but a great looking user grade and people are happy to purchase a maintained razor ... especially the hipsters. If it's missing some plating and its working great it's all just character.
I wish I could sell my 2 red tips. Had been looking for one for a while and found 2 in one day but I like my Aristocrat better so my red tips don't get used. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
Told myself no more soap or aftershave. I actually made it a month or so...... Preordered B&M Fougure Gothique soap and aftershave today.
My new toy is the stainless steel Pruner Mach 3 Handle by Will Hodges of Tactile Turn http://www.tactileturn.com/store/pruner-parer-razor-handles. I love its weight and feel in the hand due to the non-slip grooves. If you like lighter handles they also make titanium ones. I also like the plastic container it was in on arrival as it will double as a nice travel container. If you happen to use Fusions they also make a line called the Parer that accepts Fusion carts.
