So as I browse through the threads in this section, we have a lot of information on what we have purchased or are waiting to arrive. I would be curious to see a thread that lists what items you have sold, traded, or binned, and what your reason for doing it was. We cheer on people's various ADs, so I thought we should encourage some of the folks who are passing things along. My original intent was to start the thread with some razors or soaps I have sent off, but I haven't had a chance to get them listed yet. This thread may also help motivate that.

Bay rum and sandalwood soaps and AS. (They irritate my skin) All my blade samples 30 or so (excluding Astra SP and Feather). Gillette Old type New Tech Lady superspeed. Gem razor. I've done quite a bit of PIFFing and gifting. Only sold one brush so far. I have at least two razors I'm considering PIFing, and at least one brush that I'll probably put up for trade soon. Most of my remaining razors will probably stay put for another year. I'm doing laser hair removal on my scalp, so it will likely change my head shaving preferences. Knot fell out after three uses. Marvy mug. Sold. Nice but I wasn't using it. Mitchell's Wool Fat soap. Sold. Didn't care for it. Arko sticks. Sold most of them. Works great, but I can't take the smell.
I've PIF'ed many things, over the last couple of years. Lately it's been Pinaud Lilac Veg.(originally @gwsmallwood s PIF) Micro Matic Open Comb. Derby Cream Various blades. More to be PIF'ed soon.
Gillette Tech, British PiF'd. I've tried a couple of Techs now, and I can honestly say it is one razor that just doesn't work well for me. I have another one that will be leaving soon along with a Gillette OC. The Knack, Gifted. IB Aquatico, Gifted. Soap performed well enough, but the scent was quite mild. I liked the scent, there just wasn't enough of it. Omega S-Brush, Gifted. Liked the brush well enough, but when I gifted the soap and Knack, she needed a brush to go with it. Besides the blue on the handle was pretty close to the Knack, close enough. And I wasn't going to give up my Semogue, Kent, or JR53... OS Mug, PiF. Shaving Print, Donated to TSD Raffle. I've got to purge a few things again.
I've PIFed quite a few items and have sold off even more. I'm down to a handful of razors, all vintage and am on a No Buy. If it's a common vintage razor, I've owned it and probably sold it. It's easier to list what I've kept and use. 3Q/65 Slim Adjustable- used rarely 3Q/65 Super Speed- used seldom 46 Aristocrat- used very often New SC in original nickel (slim handle)-just rediscovered. Muhle R41-used very often I have a whole box of stuff to go through and PIF/sell off on the workbench.
I sent this one off today. It is a Mastro Livi Griffetto. I let this one go to make room for other razors, and will eventually replace it with a Portland Razor Co. Enjoy, @Keithmax! I am going to try and document as I send stuff off the same way I document getting new stuff.
