I put my only American to use today as it hadn’t seen a shave in some time. This Korn was a rescue job that @gssixgun brought back from the near dead - a very nice shave. You can see the Romera Manchurian returned for a third consecutive appearance Fantastic brush. :happy036:

With work being a zoo, and all the travel, my shaves lately have been nearly all Feather or IBC. Yesterday was my first straight shave in close to three weeks, and it was most relaxing. Have a great Thanksgiving everyone.

It was time to take out the Genco Red Cross razor this morning. It was a rough three pass shave, but I’d got through it for a DFS.

Hmmm... back to the hones with this one.

I finished my side burners (where'd that kid that called them that go, he was funny) and a spot or two on my chin. 20171123_102616_resized.jpg happy thanksgiving SR users, may the Lord bless each of you with a joyous time of remembrance.

Today shave was Uber lather Tabac soap/cream. Followed by Tabac balm & cologne. The Flic provided an exceptional close shave.
Enjoy your day with friends and family:)

I’ve seen so many straight razor options I don’t even know where to start. I was thinking maybe getting one to attempt to start off with. Either today or cyber Monday if I find a great deal. Haven’t been able to decide yet for sure lol

    5/8 Size-Gold
    RR Tuscan Oud
    unknown French brush (horn handle)

I was gifted this brush by a friend and for as ratty as it looks still works fine. I'll reknot it at some point. This razor was finished on my black arkie and the shave was about as good as a shave can get. I followed an internet tip (bad) and ended up having to resurfacing the stone. The Size-Gold has always been a very nice shaving razor (French made) for me and has it's own story. I picked up a True Hard Arkie and went from that to the black. I find the true hard an interesting stone. Have a good one.

I experiment too much.....I had it, lost it and hopefully got it back. Surface prep is important.
