    Boxty and bacon of course.
As Irish Mothers used to tell their little girls:
    Boxty on the griddle,
    boxty on the pan,
    If you can't bake boxty
sure you'll never get a man.

Tonight's dinner: the last of the Winemakers series of dinners for the season. Great wine - great food. Especially the Syrah - I bought a number of bottles. These once a month dinners will start up again in the Fall. Attending these dinners forces me to prove that I can still function in a social environment. At least that is what I think - maybe others don't think so - but then I don't care what others think. It did force me to shave today. I don't normally shave of Tuesdays - so I got an extra bonus.

Mexican pizza prepared in advance by my lovely bride this morning. All I have to do is pop it in the oven at 350 for 20 minutes.

Made pizzaiola tonight - wonderful. Simple Italian recipe - great for beef but can also be used with pork or chicken. Grew up with this dish.

Last night was date night(the first one in about a month). My lovely bride and I went to a local Italian restaurant that she was familiar with, but one I had never been to. She had scallops in some kind of cream sauce and I had shrimp fra diavolo. Delicious. Killed a bottle of wine and a great time was had by all.

Left over sausage and peppers which I'll probably combine with some scrambled egg and put in a wrap.

Cut down a rib roast into a couple of nice steaks. With grilled potatoes and steamed broccoli.

It was tasty, but the best part is that I boned and froze a small rack of beef back ribs and 2 steaks so i get to do it again. :)

Went out for Easter dinner. Sliced duck breast in red wine reduction over a little pile of gnocchi. The gnocchi were a little heavy but the duck was fantastic.

They are nonpolar so they are fair game. Plus they can fly so they deserve it. Harumph

Oh, so you're prejudiced against fowl that fly? Isn't that interesting

And polar bears I'm not too fond of them either. They are just too smug for their own good.

That's what we let him think. We actually fed him false information to bring back to the polar bear high command.
