Johnnie Walker Select Cask Rye Cask Finish. First time drinking this. One of the nicest Scotches I've tried.
Standard in all Riu resorts. Was in my room. Our two teen boys had their own room but managed to control themeselfes.
A traditional (gin) martini. 2 oz of Bombay Saphire, half an oz of Cinzanno dry vermouth, shaken with a twist. I'm not usually a gin drinker, but this one certainly hit the spot.
Samichlaus 14% Austrian beer. Brewed once in a year and aged 10 months in a barrel. Unlike the other strong beers you don't feel the alcohol in it. Very warm and complex taste
My usual drink is whiskey. Often a good single malt scotch (Oban preferred) but tonight I'm having a bourbon - Basil Hayden's. Very smooth and soft.
Made an awesome pasta dish tonight, paired it with a white "the Wolftrap" by boekenhoutskloof. Great wine and plenty affordable. I'd gladly drink it next to the most expensive dish one can have. Topping the night off with some neat Dewar's Scotch.
