Received my weishe razor from Linuxguile that I won in newbie may contest. Now I just received from member the Other Donald the lady Eversharp I bought from him. Love love love. I used the weishe razor just on a little bit of forearm. Well let say I have a lot to learn.lol. Quite a few bleeders. I was told by a member what I did wrong. So I will be trying tonight. Thanks guys. Love them. Pics soon.
A lil slack since yer new, but we gots rulz. No pics, didn't happen. Enjoy you're new toys, and be sure to report back with how you like them!
It will take a few shaves to get the hang of it. With all of the advice you'll get here, you're going to be up to speed in no time. My wife recently got the courage to try out one of my DEs and she got the hang of it in no time. She even took one of my soaps and loves it! I'm buying for two now!
It comes along very quickly. Be patient and use no pressure. You'll have it in no time. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Buy a premium soap and a quality brush. razorock plissoft synthetic and mitchels wool fat or amici. They will make your learning curve shorter. Use no pressure means use the weight of the razor to do the pressure. Do a 2-3 pass WTG for starters. The first pass takes 50%. Second 40% and the last 20%. Sure it won't be BBS but you can ease into it. That's better than hurting yourself because you can't learn when your injured. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I wouldn't recommend MWF as a first soap. While it is a very good soap, and many people have no problems with it, there are just as many out there who struggle trying to get a good lather. TSD soap, Tabac, VDH - all very good soap and all with a reputation of easy to make lather.
I agree on the MWF not being a good new soap. My wife has good luck with TOBS creams and Route 66 soap. Have fun!
Glad to hear you have some new razors and are on you way! Some great advice already been mentioned, pressure being important untill the technique improves, it gets even better with time.
I shaved legs tonight with lady Eversharp. Used gilette ladies shave cream mixed with real cold pressed coconut oil. Don't have brush yet. But I did it. No Nick's. And very smooth shave with no bumps. Will be trying the other one next few days. I remember these razors as a teen. Thank you again
Way to go! How tricky was it to take that action shot! Get creative and post pixies in the SIS thread!
