I just revisited my first post on this thread in September and my favs are pretty much exact: 1) Vintage Williams (Tallow) 2) AOS (Tallow) 3) Tabac 4) Mike's (all flavors) 5) MWF
Ut better be,(a work in progress). I need to wait quite a while before I can fairly make a choice of 3-5.
1. Arko Sandalwood 2. Stirling Spice 3. Arko Avon Spicy 4. Stirling Barbershop 5. Arko Almond 6. Stirling Ozark Mountain
My top 5 no particular order 1. Razorock - Tuscan oud 2. Tabac 3. Mystic water - vetiver 4. Razorock - e.o. Lavender 5. Aos - peppermint shave cream
My absolute favorites *Stirling - Sharp Dressed Man *R66 - Sweeney Todd DH Harris - Arlington * Have several other scents
Nice to know someone else is using the route 66 soap as well. I have 2 scents the black pearl and Cavendish and they are both pretty awesome. How long do you load your brush with this soap to achieve a slick lather for a 3 pass shave? Sent from my SM-G928V using Tapatalk
1) Taylor of old bond street hard soap 2) Proraso sandalwood shaving cream (yes I know it's a cream but it's better than the soap for me) 3) route 66 Cavendish 4) route 66 black pearl 5) stirling (in mail). Had tried a sample earlier and loved it. Sent from my SM-G928V using Tapatalk
Ok I will play. In no particular order these are soaps I have tried and would buy again. Martin de Candre Mystic Water Reef Point Route 66 Jabonman
Now that I've used Soap Commander (two scents: Courage & Fortitude) and Crowne & Crane ('Tobacco Leaf & Amber" "Cubans & Cognac"), I would add both to my top list of fine soap. All excellent performing soaps
There are SO many great performers out there today, it is nearly impossible to make a list of 3-5, unless you only use 3-5.
Not long. It is one of the easier soaps to lather in my opinion. I probably load for less than 20 seconds and get plenty of lather for 3+ passes.
Why not join a soap passaround? It is the BEST way to try many soaps quickly and cheaply. Your "wet shave IQ" will jump drastically.
