I picked up this Zepp straight razor. It was an attempt at a safety razor with a straight blade. This is a first for me. The Zepp was made by the Safe Straight Razor Co. 1920-1930. (Correct me if I am wrong). It is in very good condition. This is the before photo. I need to clean it up and polish the blade...as you can see there is some staining, but the edge is in good condition. I will post a post-cleanup picture later.
I’m definitely sending in the $3 for a 30 day trial!!! Writing down the address now for my money order... Awesome find.
Here is the after picture. The staining on the blade came off with a bit of effort, but there was some residual pitting in the metal. The scales are gold plated so I went easy -- warm water, toothbrush and then polished with a cotton cloth. Interesting razor.
Ok, so the scales are the guard? If so, can you show how it works? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
