Shave Den Sunday, an addition to the SOTD thread. We use TSD products on Sundays and post in the Shave Den Sunday thread as well as here and the SOTD thread (or at least I do).

Plan for today: TSD Exclusive Barber Shoppe products and a Ralf Aust 5/8 is in the works! Have a great Sunday evening!
My daughter moved here a couple of months ago. This landscape makes me want to follow her here when I retire. Plus I'm having trouble adjusting to her being almost 500 miles away
I love the hills. Posted a shot of the CO front range near me in the weather thread today. You should go when you retire! You'll love it.
May Focus Day 28: VDH Boar Brush TSD Interception SS W&B Wedge Stirling Unscented PSB Florida Water AS Another great shave with this W&B this morning. I went for a full two passes, and spent a little time chasing the baby. I didn't quite catch it on my neck, but was very close. I would rate this as a DFS over all. This is a nice shaver. I have some thoughts on all the razors I tried this month, and I'll post a summary in a few days, but this razor is going to push me into a wedge focus next month. I just dropped my oldest daughter off at camp for the week, which is the first time she has done something like that. It will be an adjustment for my wife and I. We are spending the evening in Tyler, TX with our baby as the two younger kids are back at our house with a good friend. It is as close as we get to a date night now, so it should be fun. I hope everyone has had a great Saturday.
Thank you, Doug. We have 4 wonderful children, but they are spaced out from 10 - 3.5 months. We haven't had a true night without kids since the first one was born. This almost feels like it, since we are down to just the one tonight. We'll have a great time.
SOTD May 29, 2016 Prep: Warm shower Blade: GEM Stainless PTFE Razor: GEM MMOC Brush: Semogue 1520 boar Lather: TSD Lanolin Bay Rum Post: Witch hazel splash enhanced with TSD Iced Bay Rum, Nivea sensitive balm WTG One pass shave today, partly for experimental purposes and partly because I was running out of time! I was under a time crunch and needed to shower and shave pretty quickly! Pretty decent shave for one pass. It would have been nice to clean up around the neck and jaw area some more, but that's okay. The MMOC is an interesting razor and I need some more time with it to realize its potential. The TSD products behaved beautifully as always. I hope you all had a great weekend!
I am still thinking Barbasol and straights for June. Take all variation out, save for blade differences. Yesterday's shave with the Sheffield razor (h/t @Drygulch ) was different than the Solingen blade (h/t @Keithmax ). I really want to learn the feel of each one, so I can optimize my technique for the tool in hand.
MAYhem 2016!! May 29 Razor - Gillette NEW Long Comb Blade - (1) Brush - BoS Omega 10066 Soap - Tabac Post - Cold Water, Alum, Nivea, The Veg Wow. What a day. Busy, busy, busy. Not complaining except it seems I haven't been on here for a long time. Well, for today and tomorrow it's fill in days until Tuesday. I'm off Tuesday and have one final MAYhem shave planned I think you'll like. For today and tomorrow I chose a setup to have a great shave each day to start the two busiest days of the Sale right. And, to use a blade that I believe is the finest Gillette made in Russia. The 7 o'clock Super Platinum blue wrapper is the original version of the blade now made in India. The new one is in a black wrapper and, while a really good blade, doesn't stand up to the blue. The blue is a NOS blade so if you can still get your hands on some I'd highly recommended. Every bit as good as Voskhod, or on the Gillette side, the GSB. Using the Bos and Tabac was a gift from the shaving gods. Totally awesome lather and that great Tabac scent! Three passes, and the third really just because I could. The New Long Comb is a great open comb razor and with this blade provided a fantastic smooth, close, and wonderful feeling shave. And with three passes I had the baby rocked to sleep. Awesome way to start the day. The only way to make it better? The Mighty Veg, of course, and it continued its magical pull on customers to a budget busting sales day. Hope you are all enjoying a great holiday weekend! Nobody has really suggested a theme for June here yet. I'll be on straights and pain sticks, some of you will continue straights, some will be on injectors...and some newbies will be on Rules to get that technique hammered in! Maybe the theme should just be "Best Shave Month". Choose the gear you either need to learn, or have wanted to work on to improve and work a Rule or Focus with the goal of achieving the best shave you've ever had! Or, just do your thing and hang around for the cookies and shenanigans! Can't beat that! Looking for holiday trip ideas? How about a trip down to the barber shop for a real straight razor shave?
My daughter will be going to grad school in Fort Collins in August, so I'll probably be making a trip there this summer. It will be my first time in Fort Collins.
Fort Collins is a great town! And if you have the chance, it's one of the best college football atmospheres in the country. I you like beer and associated food, it's got several breweries, chiefly New Belgium. It's pretty much a college town on the prairie. If think you'll really enjoy the visit. Bring a hat, and drink plenty of water. The sun may be bright and scorching, and the humidity will be pretty low, and the town is at 5000 feet.
For June I think I'm going to go a second month with straight edge razors. I'm really enjoying them. The recent addition of the MMOC has livened things up a bit. The G1 and Featherweight are also fantastic. I also want to use a DE again for comparison. I've been thinking about using only one soap for all of June. Not set on that yet but the idea is germinating.
