I have the Maggard's Orange Menthol and it's really great. Easy to lather, great scent, good cushion - all the stuff you look for.
Shaving cream: D. R. Harris Arlington I have a puck of the dr harris arlington, but I sampled this one simply as a comparison. Scent: It is a very complex and classy scent of citrus and fougere. Very, very top end. I actually think it smells better than the puck. Ease of use: Lathers like a dream. I would put it above the puck for most users since pucks tend to be more particular to water amounts. I can lather both, but I feel many people would find this easier than the puck. Big lather, great cushion. Creams tend to not last as long as soaps, so I still feel the soap is a better value, but I actually like this scent of the cream better. Great soap. Highly recommended.
Second to last soap in this passaround: Col. Ichabod conk's Southwestern sun It is a spicy lime scent. I thoroughly enjoyed the it. Somewhat complex, but not overwhelming. I read that others had issues lathering, so I paid special attention to it. I didn't have any lathering issues, but once on my face, the glide left something to be desired. My blade actually skipped a couple of times. That is not a good thing. I focused more and didnt have a whole lot of glide issues afterwards. I may take it for a second spin just to see if it was user error...though I don't really ever have that issue. The packaging wasn't great. I would have rather seen it in a tin or plastic bowl, but since I used a sampling spoon and transferred it to a bowl, I guess it didn't matter much. It would be next to impossible to get a decent lather from that plastic container it is packaged in, however. Paired with stirling soaps margaritas in the artic AS
When I had some Conk soaps in the past I took them out of the package and then melted them into a mug. They melt very easily due to the glycerin base. I like the Conk soaps. They don't get a lot of play from TSD folks but I enjoyed using them. Their bay rum scent is still my favorite.
Mitchell's Wool Fat Lathers like a dream. The cushion is great. I have had better glide, but it was good. The only downside really for me was the scent. Don't get me wrong, it smells fine. I just wish it had a more unique scent. It is a very clean, fresh, lanolin-like scent. I am at the piint whete I enjoy really rare/diffetent scents. I could see this as being a year-round staple though. I have heard that because of the face moisturizing (which is phenomenal, by the way), it is a great winter soap. Here's a pic, I totally forgot to put the soap in it,lol
I have yet to try that soap. But I have similar feelings about Haslinger Schafmilch. Wonderful performer but the scent is so bland. Just like mild soap. I like it every once in a while but really like variety and scents.
Its ok I'm trying to cut down on costs right now, shipping is kinda high for me right now. Thanks tho

We have another passaround coming up, and their are some others "just between friends" out there. Some other shave dens do passarounds as well. I am involved in another one that literally has 100's of items (razor blades, aftershaves, soaps, brushes, razors, pre-shave oils, etc.)
The Nationwide Box Tour is about to commence as well. Check it out HERE. I'm going to participate in that one as well.
