Are you working on skin stretching? Try pulling the skin to one side to flatten it out, then pull to the other to overlap shaves on that hilly terrain. I was not referring you, Ms. Kathleen. Everyone knows Ladies have skin tight skin!
Razor: Mongoose B2 Satin w/Custom Made Handle Aluminum (England) Blade: Feather Pro (3) Brush: Rubberset 400 Unmarked w/Omega Pro 49 Soap: Route 66 Cavendish Aftershave: Folsom Capri This handle is aluminum and weighs is at 37.7 grams. It is also little long at approximately 3.5" It does look slippery and it is. It has a nice appearance, however, it is to light for my liking. The Rubberset 400 no markings (@clint64) is amazing. It fits my had perfectly and holds a ton of lather. Just a dream to use. Route 66 Cavendish is a Lightly spiced cedar wood mingles with notes of bergamot, bay and fir; nicely balanced with the slightly sweet, warm aroma of Cavendish cut and cured tobacco leaf. It has a long lasting, slick lather protective cushion and glide with soothing post shave conditioning. The scent gets better with each and every shave. I highly recommend this soap. Folsom Capri is in my top five aftershaves. Been very busy preparing the 2017 Shave Calendar which I should have ready in a 2 to 3 weeks.
It sure is a Monster. It is a great brush. I can't believe how much lather is still in the brush after I do 3 passes and a cleanup.
Once it's on the internet it's out there forever. Wow you soap sure does make allot of lather. Well played @Salty Belle
I will have to work on skin stretching. The things I never had to do when using a cart. Still worth it, because my skin looks a lot better after a month of DE shaving then it looked is 15 years of shaving the other ways. Sent from my LGLS775 using Tapatalk
NOvember Focus Stirling Mountain Man & B-400 brush Fatip/Muhle Hybrid & Generic Israeli Alum block & Vintage Avon Bravo AS I've been pushing the reset timer. Left to nature I'd shave in the evenings, and might skip a day. Combine that with efficient beard reduction the every 24 hours repetition wasn't leaving much to shave. Been more like 36 since my last shave, and I like it better. Or it could have been the sample of Stirling soap PIF'd by @aelfred.t.allspa who hasn't been around since mid August. Good soap, another on my list of Wanna Get Some. Three passes + clean up while paying attention to my angles yielded incremental improvement. Closer finish with less irritation, no nicks. Alum was still warm on my neck but the AS cooled it down. It also compliments the scent of the soap. Good Shaves Y'all!
NOVember!! November 2 Grand Blade Trial - NOVember Shave Razor - Rabbit Straight Soap - Tabac Brush - Semogue 620 Post - Alum, Nivea Day two on the Rabbit and I'm beginning to feel the rhythm a bit. Stropped 30 times before shaving and the blade feels good. I found the reduction a bit on the light side but I feel like I'm struggling on getting the angle set. That old nervousness about adding so much you just hack off half your face, y'know? So I went back on the second pass and added some angle and got better results. Finished again with a nice CCS and only one minor nick where I set down a bit wrong on my right side neck. Then, stropped post-shave to set it up for tomorrow. Seriously, if there was no stropping I think I could relax and enjoy it more. Not sure why I'm fighting that step but it has never felt particularly natural to me and just adds a step to worry about. I need to discover the Zen of the Strop and work it from there. Maybe I'll spend some time meditating with the strop to become one with it. Cubs are leading the Indians at this point. Those of us in STL are all pretty much Cleveland fans tonight but.....if the Cubbies win the trophy it will be a historic moment. And....since I was at Busch Stadium today for a work event and saw all of the Cardinals trophies while there.....giving the Cubs one won't make them anything but a one time winner in over 100 years. Yeah, take that you little bear things. On another Busch Stadium note that has nothing to do with shaving.....the field is ripped up at the moment while they improve the drainage under it for next year....and while it's being worked on they'll be starting the setup for the NHL Winter Classic this year. January 1st - Blues vs. Blackhawks!! And guess what? STL thinks the same of the Blackhawks as they do the Cubs. Should be a great game! One final image for any Cubs fans out there. Looks like you may be champs this year so congrats! I'll just leave this here.
Time for the next soap, Knize Ten, I have not used this since early spring but it is getting cold and time for the leathers t come out. Day with Knize Ten soap, Feather DX with a day 2 Pro blade and my favorite brush, a two band Thäter. Yeah the soap smells great, wish it was as strong as the EdT. The quality of the lather is tops too, cushion and plenty slick when wet. Today was the best shave ever with a shavette. I would rate it just short of epic. No blood, no irritation and BBS.
2 November 2016 Shavette Angle Rule Another decent two pass, no weepers today. Forgot to switch, so this was day two on the blade. So, using very light pressure, I attempted to hold a constant angle. Still managed to scrape a little on the jawline, but had a good day with it. Sticking with the wetter Arko was good as well. Alum was mostly cool, smooth face, and since I am still a hero...the Veg finished it all off nicely. Bone dry, dusty, forty mph wind out on the prairie again today. Other than that...all is quiet in Colorado. Have a great Thursday! ☺
Nothing like a rain delay at midnight in game 7. The Series that wouldn't die! I think both curses are fighting it out to the death.
