Interesting. I use epoxy to set my knots, but I use wheat paste to mount my Sumi paintings. Here is an example.
If you're looking to re-knot an old brush, how do you get the old knot out without damaging the handle?

I believe @Jayaruh knows many different ways. He is always willing to help anyone. ! @jimjo1031 has some pretty creative idea's and one of his threads helped me harvest the knot , saving the handle .

Excellent write up the oldest brushes are indeed cool i wonder how the idea of a shave brush even came about regarding silicone. What type do folks recommend for setting a knot?
