Day 2 of a split focus with shavettes and SEs, brought up my oldest SE, and also the one I've had the longest. I did a stint with the Gem types a while back, and they really never floated the boat for me. When I sold and PIFed them all off, I kept my favorite of them: this Junior.
Maybe I jinxed myself setting the Balm out for the picture before I shaved, or maybe I shouldn't have used a couple month old blade, but I got a little bit of irritation on my lower neck. I was gonna use a bit of the Balm just because it seems to carry the light lime scent a little longer than the splash, but it ended up a bit of a soother for my neck. Over all a solid DFS.
The knot on that brush pleasantly surprises me every time I use it. It isn't ultra dense, but even set at a fairly high loft, it has a little backbone to it. Nothing to brag about, but definitely NOT a flopper. And it has zero scritch. Some scrub, but not a scritchy hair in it. Brand? Virginia Sheng.
Tomorrow is Electric Sheep Sunday, and I believe in honor of our beloved sensei, I will shave with a Parker shavette and a Shark saloon blade.
