Another great shot, Doug. Are the leaves mostly done changing colour and falling in your area? Because the Floid seems to be the only thing left in fall colours in that photo.

Nice run on the Personna 74.

Saturday October 28 - using odds and ends

Supply Provision Single Edge injector on two-dot plate / Personna (7+)
Semogue Owners Club cherrywood boar brush
Dirty Deeds Arroyo Cactus soap sample end
    Alum and Lucky Tiger

I tried the Dirty Deeds soap sample with the SOC brush tonight and managed to get a decent lather out of it again. Good enough for a two-pass near BBS from the Supply Provision injector on the middle plate.
Now that I know I can make the Dirty Deeds soap work though, I have relegated the last of the sample sliver back to the handsoap dish. It's not a bad soap but still not one of my favorites.

I also got one last shave out of the Personna blade and then put it in the blade bank tonight. I think for the last few days of October I will use up the blades in my other two injectors and bin them too.

Hope the weekend is treating everybody well!

It was a good service call. For those that don't know I'm a semi-retired residential home builder. Currently I enjoy entirely too much free time (read that as underemployeed). When a call comes in I do reserve the right to refuse my services. With a bunch of miles on my carcass there are some things I choose to not do any more. This was an easy bit of manual labor. Referred by another happy customer, a disabled Veteran that trains service dogs had his sewage plant go blooie. Plumbing Service companies charge premium prices on a Saturday evening. I dug out some roots from amongst the (just keep telling yourself it's only) mud. Cleaned & dried the 1/2" aeration line that had broken, and the 3" line from the house that had come unglued. Swabbed in some PVC glue, stabbed in the fittings, and got paid quite well. The lady of the house made me a to-go plate of chicken and gravy over rice which I enjoyed. Both because she's a good cook, and I didn't have to make my own supper.
The Ming Shi 2000S? I'll drop my review in this thread.

    OCtober!!!

    October 28

Razor - Gem Micromatic Open Comb
    Blade - [IMG] (3)
    Pre-Shave - Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap from Stirling
    Soap - Tabac
    Brush - Jayaruh #46
    Post - Alum

Final shave for the MMOC this month and it's an excellent finish. Again, the alum was quiet, whether due to no pressure or the pre-shave or both. DFS finish and a smooth shave from start to finish. No complaints at all. I'm glad I got my hands on this razor for this month. It's a great addition to my limited SE collection and a great addition on its own right as well!

Tomorrow night I'll go to the granddaddy of them all in my collection, the 1918 Old Style and I'll even throw a Feather in for the final three shaves. Let's go aggressive all the way on our way to NOVember!

Shaved earlier this evening before we went out to a community Kid's Halloween thing. I spent a little extra time with this new-to-me OT. I didn't have it dialed in as well as my other one on the first shave. Got a great lather and had 3 1/2 passes to a DFS. I have been getting closer with my other OCs this month. This is a really smooth feeling razor, which is not what I'm used to in an OT. I'll used it for the last two shaves of the month as well.
Finished with another new product- Florida Water. Pretty standard product for many of you, however it is much tougher to get here in British Columbia. I got this as part of a hardware for software trade. Wasn't sure I was digging the scent out of the bottle, but it seems to pair very well with the P-au-P, and I enjoyed it. Face feels quite nice still, actually.
Have a great Sunday tomorrow all!

Double shot of the Veg. Neat, no chaser. Two for the win. Relaxing and hoping everyone has a great time this weekend. It's nice on the prairie. Other than that...all is quiet in Colorado.

    Have a superb Sunday!

I'm glad you got to experience Florida Water. Is it the American made by M&L? There's also a South American version by the same company. Out of China, Two Girls brand makes their version. I'm really not trying to Enable having only tried the first one.
If you haven't read up on the history of the cologne it has some interesting uses. Some users report that it affects their dreams in odd ways. Sleep well!

Very cool you like Florida Water! It makes a superb hair tonic as well, my most often use for the stuff.

Liked it well enough after one use, I guess, to decant it to a glass bottle this evening. So far, so good!

M&L, but I don't have the original bottle. I got 3oz of this and 3oz of Clubman from a generous fellow 30DCer. Much tougher to get in a brick and mortar store around here.

The current bottles for both aren't much to see - inexpensive plastic. If someone got that to you in the mail I don't want to know any details. The USPS prefers not to handle highly flammable liquids.
Very good of the Mysterious 30 DC member to slip you some good stink across the border!

The leaves are pretty much done. We have noticed that we didn't get as many red leaves as we used to get. So far it has been a warm Fall. Thanks for the kind words.

Great lineup. I bet the SOC boar is well broken in now. Is your Supply Provision razor the Version 1 or 2?

The MMOC looks like a beast. I see many refer to the Old Type as aggressive. The one I tried and gave away was much milder than a New LC. The manufacturing tolerances must have varied greatly over the production run.

Lovely brush Jason. I hope you enjoy the remainder of the weekend.

A double shot of the Veg. You are certainly chosen. :)

Love the vintage look and feel the background adds to the photo Charlie.
