Injector & SE Party !!!

12/18/2017 - Last night's shave
I have been on a MODERN SE razor kick lately. My Modern SE razors consist of Just 3 - but 3 great ones (for me at least)
1. ROCNEL SE-G (gem style).
2. Aluminum Colonial General (artist style blades)
3. SUPPLY CHROME 1.0 and the SUPPLY Jet Black 2.0 - Injector Style & both models shave the same from what i notice.

Last Night I used the SUPPLY 2.0 Jet Black Razor - this razor is VERY Heavy compared to any vintage Injector - it is a sexy and sleek shaver! the razor angle has NO play for me - i sliced a chunk of skin off the first time i used this a long while ago, i was using the angle I use for Schick injectors - you cant do that with this razor- i have it basically flat against my skin. the wrong angle will either not cut at all - or it will peel skin like a apple peeler. Needles to say I have the angle mastered - as I had a AWESOME SHAVE! Now the Schick Proline comes in 2 sizes - i used the size that fits injectors - I gotta say the SUPPLY with the uber sharp proline is so DAMN efficient - NO CLEANUP was needed on my neck after 3 passes - I gotta use this razor again tonight - the only thing i dont like is the LACK of audio feedback - the blade is so tightly secured and the razor is so solid u dont get any audio feed back - so u must be careful YES the whiskers are getting sliced off and with the perfect angle u dont feel the blade at all. I love the Supply - and the Classic plate is all I need - the aggressive plate is too aggressive for me. It is not cheap - but for 100 bucks it aint so bad- i see people paying 300 plus for that Pivot One blade - so this is a bargain...

Great video as always. I enjoy them each time. I have the Wilkinson Sword shave stick. Used it this morning in fact. It’s terrific soap! Slick, lathers easily and plentifully. Never tried the flying saucer soap but can tell you the stick version is top notch.

 

A while back I traded @SharptoothC for an E3 that has a bad blade stop (but a great handle). I've been pondering how hard it would be to remove a good handle without damaging it and picking up a cheap razor with a bad handle for the obvious swap.

 

Hi all, I'm brand new to the forum, and about a year in on my wet shaving journey. I recently discovered how much I love SE razors, and most recently started researching & aquiring Gem razors. At this point I have a push button, a G Bar, and 2 clog pruf's. This find came in today! Can't believe how good the condition is.

I'm still thinking about that one. There are three obvious approaches:

1. Braze on a new stop. (Outside my skill set.)
2. Carefully remove the handle and transplant it to another razor.
3. Risk opening the spring (which might be safer than dealing with the handle) and trying to swap the lower plate.

For 2 or 3, I need to pick up a suitable donor razor.

Never have seen that PAL handle. Love it!

 

It is often a bad thing when I get slow time early in the morning at work. I tend to pick stuff up off the bay. Last night I pushed the button on this beauty.

 

Ah, the flip side! It’s a Superior! Very nice.

told me this was a rare handle variation quite awhile ago. This razor has been on mothballs with the mummified handle E3.
