Any chance you're joining us for Cinco de Julio?

  1. Of course. In fact, I save my popsicle sticks for just this occasion!

This is the ultimate lazy Shavette Fu post:

Thank you gentlemen for the kind words!

Some great looking pictures and shaves!

@Primotenore, it sounds like you are ready for an Unfocused Focus!

My wife got back late last night, so the kids are happy. It was a terribly busy day at work yesterday, as everyone seemed to need something. I ended up taking today off as my parents are still here and my wife is back in town, so my weekend got started early. I should be getting a shave in shortly.

@Linuxguile, terrific picture of Logan! Thanks for sharing!

Great set up and review of the Blood on Steel products, Andrew. That is a striking brush handle! Logan is looking all grown up and ready for a big time outside!

@SHAVEWIZARD420, I just saw some soaps from Regiment and Deluxe that appeal to me, so that gives me extra impetus to get through the ones you gave me. Course as soon as I finish any of my current ones and we're into 2019, I could order the Reggie or Deluxe that I saw. I suppose my mind is racing a bit here, just like the British Racing Green(oh that was bad).

Great looking setup Brian. Catie's Bubbles Confiant sounds interesting. I haven't used a Catie's soap in a very long time.

    July 20 SOTD:

    Razor: Gillette '41 Ranger Tech
    Razor: Gillette Red Tip
    Blade: Polsilver
    Brush: PAA Atomic Rocket
Lather: Stirling Gin & Tonic on the Rocks
    Aftershave: Stirling Gin & Tonic
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Unscented PSB

I put these two razors against each other. Both shave well, and I had a hard time discerning from each other until today. The Ranger Tech definitely has more blade feel, and to me the Red Tip feels a hair smoother. Results were the same for each, so you couldn't go wrong, and I honestly couldnt pick between then two. It was really a great shave, and it was my first use of this soap. The scent is terrific with a lot of juniper in the tub, but much more lime once it is lathered. The juniper is back in the splash. I hope everyone has had a great day!

And the seller screwed up and sent the wrong razor... which will be being sent back on Monday.
