July 25 - Shaving like the Fuzzter!

Onward and forward to another run with the Kampfe Star. This razor just looks amazing, and my favorite part is how the blade looks when loaded. It's like it's just laying there on top ready to start cutting. Almost scary. I loaded a fresh Treet Super for the razor, grabbed Stirling Barbershop and the JR46 and loaded and lathered. The Star is a bit trickier to get the angle on than the Gem Jr., but once you get it the noise and feel is very similar. In fact, on the second pass I had a bit of trouble getting started until I got the sound right. Once it's going, though, it's a Lather Catcher. Effective and fun to use, they're definitely on my list to continue to learn about and yeah, I'm sure I see some in my future. Haven't found the one I'm looking for yet on Ebay, but I'm sure one will show up.

Two passes and touch up, though not the slide tonight. Near-BBS and I'm a happy camper. I'm off the next two days so a visit to the doctor, I think we're going to cook ribs on Friday out at a State Park, and many drunks will find their way home in my backseat. Have a great night!

After a lazy day with the family and just relaxing, tomorrow will be a rush day to see all the new Avatar attractions we haven’t experienced yet. After this morning’s success with the frozen scuttle, I will repeat tomorrow morning and enjoy the coolness of a nice slick orange lather before cooking breakfast for the family. Everyone should be well rested and ready for a fun day of animals and adventure. I am sure the Eclipse will deliver a wonderful shave and the glacial post shave will leave me tingling with citrus freshness.

WOW!! I really enjoy the scent of Vanille de Tabac, I can only smell sweet tobacco leaf, tonka bean, maybe ginger, something spicy in the background and I'm not 100% sure there could be cocoa as well. Otherwise, this is a fantastic soap in my den.

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Williams Mug Shave Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #302 synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Mongoose Alumigoose Razor on loan from @Redfisher with a Feather Professional SS blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Family Dollar Spice AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
