Still using AC/SE but using a not so familiar blade. Today the Razor was loaded with a Feather Pro which I think maybe sharper and less forgiving than the Proline which has become a favourite of mine. I have quite a strong beard so to get a close shave I have to work the Razor quite hard and the Proline seems suited to this style.

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Tabac Shave Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #302 synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Pal Injecto-Matic Razor with a Vintage PAL injector blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Schick 66- got this new with dummy blade, only a dozen or so shaves on it..... perfection....

 

Good thing a have a hard and empty skull, the brick felt good

 

"New Improved Schick Injector" (aka "Type F"). The first of two. About 20 minutes of one-handed polishing, and here's what you get. I didn't bring the aluminum alloy handle to mirror finish, because I doubt it was that way in 1940. Do any of you know if this is the correct shipper? (last couple pics). I look forward to using this.

That really is Stunning, many will envy you ! Though quite mild I find it very effective.

Today proved to me that possibly the best AC blade for me is the Schick Proline. I had a really smooth comfortable Shave with an aging blade, and the finish was ultra close. Yesterday I shaved with a newish
Feather blade also in a Mongoose, and ended up with an OK shave, I reckon that because of its apparent sharpness I was wary of doing the final polishing up strokes needed to get that close finish.

I did two passes with the Alumigoose Razor on loan from @Redfisher with a Feather SS Professional blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Family Dollar Spice AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Mike told me that you almost do not need a second pass with this razor. He was right. I was tempted to not do the second pass, but hey, I like shaving now, so I have an effortless BBS.

 

Beautiful job! Want to do mine next? Can't comment on the shipper as I've never seen one.

My Opinion of the Type F is the exact opposite, To me it is one of the more aggressive injectors.
