I got these two brushes from @Jrdelgado that I really didn't have to replace the knots on, but I gave them new paint I didn't show it, but on both, I stripped the paint from the upper parts of both brushes because of peeling paint. Yeah, I forgot to take pics.......... After some thinking, I decided to do the Rubberset B-3 with original colors as it still has it's sticker on the bottom. This worked out nice as the red I used is a perfect match. I changed the colors on the Strong Set because I really wanted to. I went with a Black top and Pale Yellow bottom..........
OK, I changed my mind on one of these brushes. It happens because I get bored easily. I changed the colors on the Strong Set as I noticed dust and other particles that went on to the Pale Yellow, probably before I clear coated it. Light colors can be a pain at times. I went with English Navy on top, and Copenhagen Blue on the bottom and lots of clear coats for a pretty good shine. I also removed the badger knot, it was shedding pretty good, opened it up some and replaced it with a 21mm synthetic..........
rs Let's just say that I'm very glad you changed the colors on the Strong Set, Jim. The blues are going to look great with one of my lather bowls. And its solid red brother with a new boar knot will look good with couple of others! I should be finding out sometime in the middle of next week!
